The past couple of years have seen incremental changes in captive taxation including initial court cases involving captives taking the 831(b) election, state actions over self procurement taxes and the on-going effect of Federal tax reform. In this tax webinar we discuss the impact of these changes on the current captive taxation landscape and re-evaluate best practices.

Specific topics covered include:

  • A review of recent tax rulings and court cases
  • A refresher on the basics of captive taxation and lessons learned from recent court cases
  • 831(b) scrutiny and other Federal taxation developments
  • Self procurement taxes and other state taxation issues
  • What changes to expect to captive taxation from the in-coming Administration

This webinar is suitable for existing captive owners and any prospective captive owner looking to understand the current taxation environment for captives and the impact of tax reform.
