Current Responsibility

Andrew is responsible for the development of firm’s strategic initiatives outside of its core insurance management and consulting business. This includes the oversight of new ventures and both majority and minority investments in insurance and risk management businesses complementary to SRS’s core business. His responsibilities include bringing infrastructure support to these ventures and access to the SRS partner network. He is also actively involved in the identification, evaluation and launch of new SRS affiliated ventures.

Experience

Andrew joined SRS in 2003 as a captive consultant before transitioning to the role of CFO in 2009 and COO in 2012. For 10 years he led the development of the operational infrastructure of the firm supporting SRS' growth and expansion as well as managing the firm's marketing strategy. Andrew has over 35 years of experience in the captive, insurance, and risk management industries.

Prior to joining SRS, he was Co-Founder, President, and COO of GRX Technologies, an industry leader in the development of collaborative technologies streamlining the management of large commercial insurance programs. Andrew started his career as an insurance broker in the London and UK retail brokerage markets, before spending 9 years as a risk management consultant with Tillinghast - Towers Perrin in London and Boston. While at Tillinghast, he consulted with Fortune 500 corporations, US, and European multinationals, public sector, and non-profit organizations.

Current Responsibility

Andrew is Director of our Bermuda captive management operations. He is responsible for the oversight of SRS’s clients and staff in the domicile and is actively involved in the management of several of our Bermuda domiciled clients.

Experience

Andrew joined SRS in 2008. He has over 10 years experience in captive insurance and accounting, servicing clients in Bermuda and the Cayman Islands. He has extensive experience working with segregated account companies, healthcare clients writing hospital professional liability and general liability programs, as well as physician programs. He also has experience with a variety of single parent and group captives writing primary casualty, property, product liability, warranty & recall programs and credit/life coverages.

Before joining SRS, Andrew was Assistant Vice President with Aon Insurance Managers (Cayman) Ltd, where he worked for seven years. Andrew has also worked as a Senior Auditor at KPMG, Cayman Islands.

Current Responsibility

Andrew is responsible for the management and supervision of a portfolio of single parent and group captive insurance companies in our western US region. Andrew manages the firm’s activities in Texas and provides support to other central time zone domiciles including Oklahoma and Missouri. His client activities include the preparation and review of monthly and quarterly financial statements, regulatory filings, NAIC filings and co-ordination of external audits and examinations. He also supervises junior accountants on accounts.

Experience

Andrew joined SRS in 2010. He has over twelve (12) years experience in the audit and management of captive insurance companies. Prior to joining SRS he worked for Marsh Management Services in Cayman providing day-to-day management services to Cayman captive insurance companies. At Marsh, Andrew was primarily involved in the management of captives in the healthcare industry and was the primary contact for nine healthcare captives.

Current Responsibility

Andy is Director of Underwriting within the SRS Group. He is responsible for developing underwriting capability and services supporting SRS’ global management of its (re)insurance clients and consulting practices. Andy is based in the United Kingdom and is actively involved in the expansion of the firm’s services in Europe. He also leads the underwriting services provided to Bermuda domiciled clients.

Experience

Andy joined SRS in April 2020. He was formerly the Chief Underwriting Officer of a large Insurance and Reinsurance group owned by Hochtief, one of the world’s largest construction group where he was responsible for leading the underwriting of both captive and commercial market/unrelated risks. Prior to being CUO, Andy was Executive Vice President at JLT in Bermuda and London responsible for business development and captive consulting. Andy brings over 18 years of underwriting experience, of which, half has been in the captive industry. Andy has experience across a wide range of traditional and non-tradition (re)insurance products and experience in the UK, European mainland and Bermuda (re)insurance and captive markets.

Current Responsibility 

Bertrand is a qualified Actuary and holds the position of head of actuarial services at SRS Luxembourg. He will be in charge of all the actuarial matters of our EU clients and the connection with regulators.  

Experience 

Bertrand was formerly the Chief Actuarial Officer of Risk and Reinsurance Solutions for the past two years, and had responsibility for leading a team of actuaries: 

  • Solvency II regulatory requirements
  • Impact of new underwriting programs in terms of capital
  • Cases submitted to local regulators (approval of new business plan, approval of capital increase, M&A, new equalisation reserve ceilings)
  • Certification of technical reserves and liaise with auditors
  • Attendance to the technical committees and boards of directors 
  • IFRS 9/17 impact studies for the impacted entities

He was the chief actuary of reinsurance captives located in Luxembourg and France. Prior to that, Bertrand was the actuarial leader at KPMG Luxembourg and PwC Luxembourg. He managed teams up to 10 actuaries in both Audit and Advisory with a particular focus on General Insurance and reinsurance. Most of his engagements took place in Luxembourg but he was also involved in various commitments in France, Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands and Saudi Arabia.

Current Responsibility

Brady is a principal owner of Strategic Risk Solutions, Inc. and the firm’s President and CEO. He is a founding member of SRS having been with the company since its inception in 1993 and led the management buy-out of SRS to establish the company as an independent entity in August 2002. Brady is responsible for the overall strategic development of SRS. During his time with the firm, he has established SRS in a leadership position in the captive market.

Experience

Brady has over 25 years of captive insurance experience and has worked with US and European companies in most industries to assess the need for and optimize the role of their captive insurers. He has been involved in the formation of numerous captives and has provided strategic and operational consulting to many of SRS’s clients.

Prior to joining SRS in 1993, Brady spent eight years with Tillinghast-Towers Perrin. As Principal in the firm, he managed the London, Boston, and Toronto risk management practices and worked on a variety of risk management and captive related assignments for corporations and groups covering a wide spectrum of risks and industries.

Current Responsibility

Brian is responsible for managing the captive operations in Luxembourg as well as assisting client operations internal to the group. Captive management operations include management of client portfolio, consistent achievement of accurate, timely financial reporting, preparation of accounts as needed, supervisory financial review of staff work product, ensuring timely and accurate regulatory filings, internal and external stakeholder relationships, local office management and assist with new business as needed based on domicile activity.

Experience

Brian was formerly the licensed manager, and ran, the insurance and reinsurance captives of the Randstad group in Luxembourg, which focused on the employee benefits of the group’s 700,000 employees.

Prior to that, Brian worked at Marsh’s captive solution for over 20 years, in both Luxembourg and Dublin, leaving as Senior Vice President. There, he managed a portfolio of 40+ international clients with his team of 16 colleagues, as well as being the Luxembourg member of the Solvency II Implementation committee and the Global IT Steering committee.

Carla is responsible for the day-to-day management of a portfolio of captive insurance company clients domiciled in the Eastern United States outside of New England, including the District of Columbia. Experience

Carla re-joined SRS in 2011 having previously been with the company for two years until 2007. She has more than 20 years of experience in captive management, insurance accounting, and consulting services. She has managed a range of captive and insurance clients including single-parent, risk retention groups, reciprocals, cell captives, and commercial reinsurers. Her accounting experience includes both GAAP and statutory accounting.

Christopher is responsible for the management and supervision of a portfolio of single-parent, group captives, sponsored captive insurance companies, and risk retention groups managed from our Vermont office.  His activities include the preparation and review of monthly and quarterly financial statements, regulatory filings, and coordination of external audits and examinations.  He serves as the Vermont resident director on the Board of Directors of several Vermont captive clients.  He also oversees and coordinates junior accountants on client accounts.  Firm-wide, Christopher additionally serves as Director of Training, leading and organizing the training needs of the firm, including creating original content and sourcing additional training resources for staff.

Current Responsibility

Derek is Managing Director, Strategic Risk Solutions (Europe) Limited and a member of the Board of Directors. He is responsible for developing and managing the firm’s consulting business in Europe, including the provision of captive feasibility studies, captive strategic reviews, technical consulting and risk financing consulting studies.

Experience

Derek joined SRS in May 2020. He was formerly Senior Vice President with Marsh Captive Solutions and International Practice Leader for the firm’s Captive Advisory department in London. In addition to his risk finance advisory experience, he spent over 10 years in Marsh’s captive management practice where he served a range of multinational captive owners and special purpose reinsurance entities. He also led Marsh’s EU Solvency II and BEPS initiatives, the latter in partnership with FERMA (Federation of European Risk Management Associations). Prior to his experience in the captive insurance industry, Derek was a Senior Audit Manager with WHK Greenwoods based in Sydney, Australia.

Current Responsibility

Craig is responsible for the oversight and development of SRS’ clients in Hawaii. He also provides support to other western region clients and is a technical resource on insurance related management, accounting, financial reporting and regulatory issues.

Experience

Craig has over 25 years experience in the captive and commercial sectors of the local and national insurance markets. Prior to joining SRS in January 2011, he was Deputy Insurance Commissioner and Captive Insurance Administrator for the State of Hawaii, where he established and managed a specialized branch to prudently regulate and develop captives in the State. During his ten year tenure, he oversaw a five-fold increase in the size of the captive insurance industry in Hawaii. In addition to his role as a regulator, Craig established and managed the captive management operations of first Johnson & Higgins and subsequently AIG in Hawaii. Prior to captives, he worked for a national insurance holding company as an internal auditor and workers compensation underwriting specialist. He was most recently CFO at a multi-line property and casualty insurance group domiciled in Hawaii.

Dan joined SRS in 2014 with 25 years of experience in the insurance industry.

Dan was formerly Managing Director of Aon Insurance Managers (Cayman) Ltd., where he was responsible for Aon’s captive insurance operation in the Caribbean including Cayman, Barbados and Puerto Rico, along with Aon’s insurance brokerage in Cayman. He started his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers (formerly Coopers & Lybrand) in Toronto in 1989 and went on to join Municipal Electric Association Reciprocal Insurance Exchange as their head of finance and administration.

Dan is a past Chairman of the Insurance Managers Association of Cayman (“IMAC”), former member of IMAC’s Executive Committee and director of IMAC’s Educational Scholarship Foundation.

Dave is responsible for the management and supervision of a portfolio of single parent and group captive insurance companies managed from our Vermont office. He also oversees and co-ordinates junior accountants on accounts. Firm-wide, Dave serves as Chair of the company’s Professional Standards Committee and is a member of the Risk Retention Group practice.

Experience

Dave joined SRS in 2014. He has over 30 years of accounting experience with more than 25 years in the insurance industry as a chief financial officer or auditor. Dave has extensive experience with commercial insurance companies, including NAIC regulatory filings and statutory accounting. He also has a background in captive insurance having audited many Vermont domiciled captives including single parent and group captives including risk retention groups.

Prior to joining SRS, Dave was Chief Financial Officer with Co-operative Insurance Companies, a position he held for 14 years. He was responsible for all aspects of financial management and reporting for the $70 million property-casualty insurance company based in Middlebury, Vermont. He was also a member of the company’s Executive Management Team, responsible for strategic and operational planning. Dave started his career in auditing and spent 13 years as an auditor in Vermont, including leading the Vermont office of Johnson Lambert.

David is a team leader in our Burlington, Vermont office. He manages a team of client accountants and account managers in the Vermont and South Carolina offices. His client responsibilities include management and supervision of client accounts, including financial and regulatory reporting.

Experience

David joined SRS in 2000. He has 14 years of captive insurance accounting experience. He has audited, examined and managed captive programs ranging from single parent captives to association captives to risk retention groups, as well as experience in the “traditional insurance” market. Prior to joining SRS, David was an examiner for the Captive Division of the Department of Banking, Insurance, Securities and Health Care Administration. The division oversees, monitors and
regulates the largest on-shore domicile for captive programs. David has also worked as a senior auditor with KPMG LLP.

David has worked with a variety of captive insurance companies including those in the professional sports, healthcare, energy and marine industries. He has also been instrumental in providing formation and management services to several new insurance and reinsurance companies in Bermuda including sidecars, Lloyds syndicates and Bermuda reinsurance groups.

Current Responsibility

Georg is Managing Director of SRS Europe with responsibility for the Actuarial and Analytics function of SRS Europe. In this role, he serves as the appointed actuary for SRS’ client captives, insurance and reinsurance companies Reserving Reports, SST or Solvency II calculations and reporting, Statement of Actuarial Opinion and the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment. He also performs reserving, solvency calculations, pricing, NatCat modeling, financial modeling and other risk finance consulting projects.

Experience

Georg joined SRS in 2021 from Aon Switzerland Limited where he served as Senior Consultant and Head of Actuarial & Analytics since 2017. He has over twenty years of actuarial experience in the European and Swiss non-life insurance industry, including serving as the group actuary for and actuarial audit manager for Nationale Suisse Group. Georg began his career with KPMG in Germany and then worked in the risk management department of Winterthur AXA in Switzerland for six years. His experience includes managing the actuarial, solvency calculations and regulatory reporting needs of captives, insurance and reinsurance companies in Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Germany, USA, Canada, Bermuda and Asia.

Derick is Managing Director of SRS’s recently formed Governance, Risk and Compliance practice. In this role he is responsible for the development of governance and compliance services for captive clients and other insurance entities, and the oversight of the delivery of these services. Derick also maintains an active involvement in the captive management services provided to many of our clients domiciled in Vermont.

Experience

Derick joined SRS in 2007 as Managing Director of SRS’s Eastern US operations and has been in captive insurance since 1989. Prior to joining SRS, Derick was the Director of Captive Insurance for what is now the Vermont Department of Financial Regulation. He has also served on many NAIC committees and working groups and is a frequent speaker in the captive insurance industry. He is on the faculty of the International Center for Captive Insurance Education (“ICCIE”), and has most recently developed and taught the course: “Regulation for Captives”.

Current Responsibility

Elyse joined Strategic Risk Solutions Europe (SRS Europe) in June 2021 as Director of Accounting SRS Guernsey. Elyse is supporting the firm’s expansion into various European captive domiciles as well as focusing on the captive management client services delivery platform.

Experience

Elyse joined SRS Europe following 5 years with Willis Towers Watson (WTW), where she served as Account Director, leading teams in all aspects of captive management, including onboarding new clients, license approvals, capitalization, regulatory compliance and accounting. Her portfolio included a diverse range of clients, from small privately owned captives to larger ICC, PCC and reinsurance vehicles.

Elyse also provided accounting technical expertise and was a key member of the Willis Global Captive Technical focus group for implementation of IFRS 17 as well as being selected for the Willis Global Leadership Development Program.

Prior to her role with WTW, Elyse qualified as an accountant and held the position of Senior Manager with PwC in Guernsey where she was responsible for the effective management and leadership of audit teams focusing on clients in the financial services industry, specializing in the audits of Captive Insurance and Private Equity vehicles. Elyse also completed a 2-year secondment to PwC Perth, Western Australia where she gained exposure to working with clients in the Oil and Gas and Mining and Exploration sectors.

Experience
Emily joined SRS in 2020. Previously, she worked as a Client Service Advisor where she provided an efficient broking and claims service to a portfolio of large corporate clients including those in the education, contracting, health/life sciences, and public sectors. Emily was also a member of the Higher Education Service team where she was responsible for the provision of broker services to the University of Limerick. She bring more than 6 years of insurance experience to SRS.

Kathryn is a director within SRS' European Consulting Practice. She is responsible for delivering a range of consultancy projects including captive feasibility studies, strategic reviews, and captives utilization studies. These studies focus on advising clients on optimal captive strategies and risk financing solutions, based on a detailed evaluation of each clients needs, a robust analytically driven process and a thorough appraisal of alternatives to maximize value from insurance and risk financing purchases.

Experience
Kathryn joined SRS in 2021. Prior to joining SRS, she worked for more than 24 years within the captive solutions practice and the risk analytics team. Within her roles, she used statistical methods to understand clients risk profiles and to evaluate opportunities for insurance program enhancements. She also did consulting with global clients across many industries on how a captive or other formalize risk retention structure can add value.

Experience

Isabel joined SRS in 2014. She began her captive management career with Aon Montreal in 2005 and later joined the Aon Cayman office in 2007 where she managed a portfolio of captive insurance companies. Isabel has comprehensive technical accounting and financial knowledge of the captive insurance industry having managed the financial and operational activities of captive insurance clients across a variety of industries. Isabel has experience with US GAAP.

Jennifer is the Regional Manager for SRS’s captive management business in Tennessee and the firm’s primary representative in Tennessee. She is responsible for the oversight of SRS’s clients in the domicile and the management of our relationships with the Tennessee Department of Insurance and the local captive community. 

Experience

Jennifer has over fifteen years of experience in captive management and insurance accounting and auditing. She joined SRS in 2015 from Crowe Horwath LLC where she was a Senior Manager in the Nashville assurance practice with a primary focus in the insurance industry. Jennifer’s experience in insurance consists of both GAAP and statutory audits of traditional property and casualty companies, captives, risk retention groups, self-insured pools, managing general agents, reinsurance intermediaries and warranty companies. Prior to joining Crowe Horwath LLP, she was with Kruse and Associates, P.C., a regional accounting firm based out of Nashville, Tennessee.

Experience

Jenny joined SRS in 2010. Prior to joining SRS, she had five years insurance auditing experience having worked for KPMG in the Insurance Audit Division in London and then for two years in the Cayman Islands. Jenny has experience with group captives, single parent captives, SPCs, and commercial insurers in both the Cayman Islands and the UK. She has experience with US GAAP, IFRS and local statutory reporting requirements.

Jonathan is a Managing Director and is based in Bermuda. He is responsible for business development focused on commercial insurance and reinsurance organizations and for enhancing SRS’s joint ventures and capabilities in emerging sectors such as Insurance Linked Securities (ILS) and InsureTech.

Experience

Jonathan has 30 years dedicated to the Insurance Industry. He joined SRS in 2020 from Hamilton Insurance Group where he was part of the founding management team and served as President, Strategic Partnerships as well as Group Chief Financial Officer.

At Hamilton, Jonathan oversaw a variety of strategic initiatives, including acquisitions, ILS products, Hamilton’s syndicate management business at Lloyd’s and various InsureTech joint venture interests. Previously, Jonathan was the Leader of Ernst & Young’s Insurance practice for Bermuda, Bahamas, and Cayman. He had been with EY, in Bermuda and New York, for 19 years (1993-2012) and had been a Partner for 12 years (2000-2012).

Annette joined SRS Europe following 10 years with Marsh Captive Management Dublin, where she served large and complex multinational captive owners domiciled in Ireland. Annette developed a comprehensive knowledge of the requirements for all three pillars of the Solvency II regime having prepared for the implementation of the regime in recent years and successfully completing the inaugural annual reporting for a number of clients under the Solvency II regime in 2017.

Mary held the position of Compliance Officer for an Irish branch of a French commercial insurer from 2013-2016. Prior to joining SRS, Mary also spearheaded a Solvency II Narrative Reporting project and successfully implemented the SFCR and RSR requirements for a large number of captives. Mary has also performed Internal Audit reviews for a number of clients during this period.

Kirk joined SRS as Managing Director in May 2020. He has over 20 years of experience in the Barbados captive management industry. Peter is Managing Director, SRS Guernsey and is responsible for the delivery of the firm’s captive management services to Guernsey clients as well as driving the firm's expansion into various European captive domiciles. 

Experience

Peter joined SRS in July 2021. Prior to joining SRS Peter was responsible for the European offices of Artex Risk Solutions and was a member of Artex’s worldwide Executive Committee. Over the preceding 13 years with Artex he fulfilled the roles of Managing Director, Guernsey and Client Service Director on a wide range of captive and commercial insurance clients. 

His background is in underwriting, having trained as a trade credit and political risks underwriter with the company that is now called Euler Hermes in the 90s prior to returning to Guernsey in 2001 where he worked for the Guernsey Financial Services Commission prior to taking up a position in industry. He worked briefly for Aon before joining Heritage, an independent management company, that latterly became Artex, in 2008. 

He has worked with captive clients from industries as diverse as travel, finance, mining, legal, hospitality, printing, logistics and aviation. He has also delivered services to commercial insurers and reinsurers as well as Insurance Linked Security vehicles.

Mike is responsible for the delivery of SRS consulting services, including statistical loss and exposure analyses, feasibility studies, and financial analysis for captives and other types of risk financing programs.

Experience

Mike has over 20 years’ experience in the captive and insurance industries. He has provided feasibility analyses for a variety of captive types including single parent captive, group captives, risk retention groups and cell and series captives. He has been at the forefront of some of the industry’s major innovations including working on the first DOL approval to insure employee benefits in captives and the creation of the world’s first series LLC captive. In addition to his feasibility work, Mike provides strategic and technical advice to many of SRS’s existing clients. He has written several articles on captives and alternative risk financing techniques and is a frequent speaker at captive insurance conferences.

He was Head of Office of Marsh Management Services Hawaii for a brief period in 2000 before becoming manager of Marsh's Cayman operations later that year. Experience

Paul is a Graduate Chartered Accountant. After qualification, he worked for Goldman Sachs. Paul then moved to Willis and has gained over 30 years of insurance experience holding numerous global roles. These roles included leadership of finance functions and operations. He held numerous Board Directorships of regulated companies in different jurisdictions as an approved person. These companies included Insurance Brokers, Captive Managers and Insurance Companies.

For the last 5 years he led the Captive Management business of Willis Towers Watson, focusing on strategy, growth and development of emerging markets including Asia. Paul “retired” from Willis at the beginning of 2020 and joined SRS in his current role.

Paul is Vice President at Strategic Risk Solutions (Bermuda) Ltd (“SRS”) and oversees the client service teams on a variety of commercial reinsurance and ILS engagements and participating on prospective client tenders and onboarding.

Paul joined Dyna Management Services Ltd (“Dyna”) in July 2014 and was part of the team that was transferred to SRS in October 2020 via acquisition.  

Paul has a wealth of experience in the reinsurance industry managing various classes of Bermuda commercial reinsurers, insurance agents, insurance groups and ILS entities writing multi-line and multi-currency business, in both Bermuda and Cayman, who require more complex financial and regulatory reporting services. 

To facilitate such reporting Paul also has extensive experience with various IT software programs including custom database products that are used alongside the traditional financial ledger reporting software to develop efficient and integrated client reporting solutions.  

He is a member of the company’s IT committee that deals with operational and infrastructure developments, contributing as it pertains to client service and systems.

Stephen joined SRS in January 2020 with over 28 years’ experience in the captive insurance industry. Stephen was formerly the Managing Director of Willis Towers Watson Management (Cayman) Limited where he was responsible for its captive insurance operations in the Cayman Islands and Barbados, along with its insurance brokerage in Cayman.  

 Stephen’s career in captive insurance management began with Willis Towers Watson in the Isle of Man (1991-1994), Vermont, USA (1994-1997) and then the Cayman Islands (1997-2019) with Stephen leading the Cayman Islands office from January 1999-December 2019. During his captive management career Stephen has worked on approximately 100 captive insurance companies. 

Stephen is a past Treasurer of the Insurance Managers Association of Cayman (“IMAC”) and former member of IMAC’s Executive Committee.

Current Responsibility

Richard is a Managing Director of our Bermuda captive and insurance management operations. He is responsible for the oversight of SRS’s clients and staff in the domicile as well as new business development and relationship management for clients domiciled in Bermuda.   

Experience

Richard joined SRS in July 2019. He has 18 years of experience in insurance management, servicing clients in Bermuda. Prior to joining SRS Richard served as the President of a midsized insurance management firm in Bermuda.  Richard has extensive experience in managing larger complex captive structures as well as consulting on new lines of business.  Richard also has consulted and advised on numerous new captive formations & license applications.  Additionally, Richard has served on various captive Board of Directors.

Current Responsibility

Ron is a President and Shareholder in our Cayman office.  In this role he is responsible for the management and supervision of client accounts, including financial and regulatory reporting and special assignments related to SRS's captive management programs in the Cayman Islands.  Ron is also the past President of Strategic Risk Solutions International Limited.  In that role he was responsible for oversight of the Barbados, Bermuda, Cayman Islands and South Africa offices.   

Experience

Ron joined SRS in 2005 and has been managing the operational aspects of our Cayman office since that time and is currently the Chairman. He has worked in the captive and insurance industry since 1993. Ron was the former President and Chief Executive Officer for Cayman Islands National Insurance Company Ltd. Prior to that, Ron worked in captive management in the Cayman Islands, Luxembourg and Bermuda.

Current Responsibility

As Managing Director and Shareholder within SRS West Tempe is responsible for the management and oversight of captive insurance companies specializing in Western US domiciles. Her responsibilities include financial analysis, regulatory relationships and compliance, coordination of external service providers, oversight of client corporate governance processes and Board education. Tempe manages and oversees the development of insurance accountants and managers within SRS West.  

Experience

Tempe joined SRS in June 2012 after gaining five years’ accounting experience with the Wollongong City Council, New South Wales, Australia. She has over 10 years' experience managing a variety of captive structures including pure captives, risk retention groups, sponsored, and agency captives.  Tempe serves on SRS’ Operations Committee as SRS West’s Director of Operations and Compliance and is responsible for the operating standards used in the management of captive insurance company clients.

Current Responsibility

Shawn is responsible for providing management, corporate secretarial, administrative and accounting services to international businesses in Barbados. Portfolio includes 12 legal entities, five of which are subsidiaries of major public companies. He is also a member of the Operations Committee of SRS and oversees activities within the Barbados office, including compliance to the operating standards of the firm.       

Experience

Shawn joined CGE the predecessor firm to SRS Barbados in March 2004. Prior to that he sent three years with Towner Management Group, a Barbados insurance management firm. Shawn has extensive experience managing captive insurance companies, reinsurance companies and international business companies. He started his career at KMPG providing audit and accounting services to a diversified range of local and international business companies. Shawn completed his Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) exams in December 2000, placing first overall in Barbados.

Current Responsibility

Trung performs statistical loss analyses, underwriting, program management, and regulatory reporting for many of Strategic Risk Solutions captive clients. He also oversees the use of risk management-based technology for the firm’s clients and provides consulting support on feasibility and technical consulting projects. 

Experience

Trung has 20 years of experience in the captive and insurance industries having joined Strategic Risk Solutions in 2002. Prior to joining SRS, he was an Analyst in the National Market Actuarial Department at Liberty Mutual Group.

Current Responsibility

Wendy is Director of our Washington, D.C. offices and Chair of the firm’s Employee Benefits practice group. Her responsibilities include supporting consulting sources with analyses, underwriting and feasibility studies for all single parent and group program prospects and clients assuming medical stop loss, ERISA or voluntary employee benefits risk within their captive. In addition, her responsibilities include the program management and oversight of group medical stop loss insurance business. Wendy is a frequent speaker at industry conferences providing up-to-date insight on the use of captives for medical stop loss risk.

Experience

Wendy has over 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry with a primary focus on the implementation, administration and management of self-insured group captives and programs within the Property and Casualty and Employee Benefits sectors. Additionally, Wendy served as Director of Operations for a large privately held Medical Stop Loss Managing General Underwriter.

Prior to joining SRS in 2012 Wendy was with USI Insurance Services (formerly Wells Fargo Insurance), serving as a Senior Program Manager of a Reciprocal Association, offering employer sponsored and voluntary employee benefits to not-for-profits in Washington, D.C.

Current Responsibility

Anna is a key member of our ILS and Fund Administration team in Bermuda. Her responsibilities include business development and the implementation and delivery of treasury and collateral management services. She advises on client and internal needs related to treasury, corporate banking and collateral management processes.

Experience

Anna joined SRS in 2021 with over 25 years’ experience in the insurance, reinsurance, alternative risk transfer and capital markets. Her prior experience includes co-founding MANA Consulting Ltd. and serving as Head of Treasury for Horseshoe Group where she specialized in ILS and collateralized reinsurance for ILS transformer entities, special purpose vehicles and insurance-managed clients. Prior to that, Anna was Head of Captive and Insurance Banking at HSBC Bank Bermuda Limited, where she was instrumental in leading the bank’s ILS and reinsurance trustee initiative and record growth in Bermuda and the US.

In addition to her ILS experience, Anna held various underwriting positions with Chubb Financial Solutions, Quanta Re, and Everest Re in Bermuda and has experience in financial guarantee, financial lines and casualty treaty reinsurance underwriting.
